Fireplace chimney's [flues] need to be cleaned to remove creosote from the flue, smokechamber, and damper shelf. We use wire and soft brushes to clean the flue, smokechamber, and firebox, and scrub clean the smokeshelf, firewalls, and firebox floor. If you use your fireplace every season, you need to have it cleaned yearly to prevent chimney fires, and keep good air flow.
Furnace flues need to be cleaned to remove oil soot, which is unburned carbon and sulfur produced by the furnace. This deteriorates the inside of your chimnye's furnace flue. To avoid this you should have your furnace flue cleaned at least every two years. Cleaning the furnace/boiler flue is done similar to the fireplace flue cleaning. Most importantly always ask for your furnace flue to be inspected for any cracks and deteroriation to prevent carbon monoxide leaks.
Whether it is a free standing or an insert, your woodstove or pellet stove flue should be cleaned every year to get rid of all creaosote. You also need to have yearly inspections for cracks and proper installation of your stoves to prevent any chimney fires.
Liners for furnace or fireplace flues. When your furnace/fireplace flues become cracked and deteroriated, your flue needs to be re-lined. We re-line your flue with 100% stainless steel "Forever-Flex" liner systems. These liners come with a life time manufacturer warranty.
We use ACS (Anti Creo-Soot Solution) to remove heavy creosote build-up.
To help prevent leaks and weather damage you can have your chimney's exterior waterproofed with Chimney Saver Water Repellent.
