1. HOW OFTEN SHOULD I GET MY FIREPLACE CHIMNEY CLEANED?

If used every season, you should have your chimney inspected and cleaned every year.

2. HOW OFTEN SHOULD I GET MY FURNACE/BOILER FLUE CLEANED?

You should have your furnace/boiler flue cleaned every two to three years.

3. HOW OFTEN SHOULD I HAVE MY WOODBURNING/PELLET STOVE CLEANED?

Woodburning stoves and pellet stoves should be cleaned every year to avoid creosote build-up and t inspect the stove.

4. DOES MY YEARLY FURNACE/BOILER SERVICE INCLUDE THE FLUE BEING CLEANED?

Most oil companies service the furnace/boiler, but do not brush/clean your flue.

5. DO YOU BRUSH THE CHIMNEY FLUE FROM THE ROOF OR FROM INSIDE THE FIREPLACE?

You can clean a chimney either way, brushing down the flue, or up. Every chimney sweep has a different technique. Woodburning stoves should be cleaned from the top and bottom.

6. HOW MUCH DOES IT COST TO HAVE MY CHIMNEY CLEANED?

The charge is $125 - $150 to clean your fireplace or furnace flue. Woodburning Stoves start at $130.00.
